ThredUp and Yerdle review and recap

This week my poor FedEx delivery man must have thought I was crazy.
Here is a quick recap of my first impressions of ThredUp. Spoiler....they're very very good.

(All purchases made via referral credit, any leftover charges, including shipping in one order paid by me. I was not compensated for my review.)

Sunday I received my first two packages. I was skeptical...not because of the company, but because I have a very low success rate on ordering clothes online that actually fit. Apparently I'm getting better at it! All 3 pieces fit perfectly!

Wednesday I received another order, along with my Yerdle bundle. Once again, everything fit!!
One shirt from ThredUp still has its tag on it!!
Yerdle also highly impressed me!
Of course it depends on the seller, but so far I've had great experiences.

I have a couple more things on their way from ThredUp and I definitely look forward to ordering more!

Right now its FREE SHIPPING and 15% OFF!

Heres my referral link!

Just a quick note...about FREE CLOTHES.

I thought I was on a roll with my Yerdle shopping...Which I still am.
Referral link :)

And then I signed up for ThredUp.
Right now they've doubled their typical sign up offer to $20 off your first purchase,no minimum and FREE SHIPPING. Two of my favorite words.
First impressions are a lot better than Yerdle. Its like I'm shopping at a consignment store, not a garage sale. (No offence Yerdle,I still love you and the skirt and dress I got for free today.)

Here's my first purchase on ThredUp

Lets get real guys. 49 cents for an Ann Taylor dress. Can you beat that?

Wanna try it? Here's my referral code for your $20 credit!

I will do a follow up post once everything arrives!

Makeup Bag Monday and the story of how I got all this free or cheap.

Like most girls I love makeup... I know mom,I'm nothing like you.
Being the savvy person I am, I really hate the idea of spending more than $5 on a product. My husband will be happy to tell you I rarely break that idea.
Heres a look into my on the go make up bag and how I got some lovely products (I mean it, I don't carry around something I don't like) for less than you'd expect.

1. Wet n Wild has notoriously cheep make up products.....I'm totally happy with the quality and I think the brush is great. But I'm no eyebrow snob. Check for coupons for this brand.

2. Covergirl has some really great products for a great drugstore price...this is one of them. $3-$4 at Walmart. Look for a coupon too! You might just be able to pick it up for free.

3. Yow...Don't remember the brand of this one. And the wording has worn off. Should throw that away. Moving on...

4. I've heard all the rage about fancy tweezers. I'm happy with my $3 target ones.

5. This is fancy mascara I know.... fancy price? Not for me! In my Birchbox I had a $5 off coupon for. This is pretty great mascara http://w3llpeople.com/index.php/our-story/

6. Elf eyeliner generally runs about $2. 'Nuff said. Keep an eye on their online sales. Free shipping and stackable codes can get you some great deals!

7. Needed a good basic cheep everyday mascara. For $3 it gets the job done. Thanks Elf.

8. Ok this went against every rule in my book. Full price mascara that was more than a single digit price. Ouch, Got me good Sephora! Justified it because I bought it for my wedding.

9. The little sample in my birthday freebie bag that convinced me to buy #8. How dare you do such a tempting thing Sephora!!!

10. Dollar store stain remover pen that has gotten out everything I've ever spilled. Tide who?

11. In one of my many free magazine subs I received a coupon for a free Estee Lauder foundation sample.Make friends with the makeup counter person and maybe they'll give you two like they did for me. (Thanks skin for being in between two shades!) Oh and I got a free makeover that day. Thanks Estee Lauder!

12. I think this was another Birch box item in on my half off boxes. Keep your eye out for promos from them. $5 for a box is a great deal!

13. Burts Bees overly sparkly lip balm. Walmart clearance on a day it was all an additional 50% off! Suck it up and go to Walamrt guys.... even if its just for the makeup on clearance.

14. $1.97 for all day lip stain. Do you have any problem with that? Me neither. Lets go buy every color. But I heard CVS is cheaper than Walmart. I think Walmart was $2.49
15. Defiantly something from Birch Box. Note the size. Pretty small.

16. More Sephora birthday bag freebies. Why do they put the best stuff in there?! Uhg. Want it all.

17. Once again, Sephora freebie. This lipstick has lasted me foreverrrrrr. Ha! Take that Sephora.

18. Either in a Pinch Me box or Vox box. Both AWESOME things to sign up. Full size things to try are the BEST.

I recommend taking Birch Box for a spin for a month.

IHG is my new best friend.

Well more specifically their PointBreaks promotion is.

If you're not familiar with it, it is a list of specific hotels available in specific time period for only 5,000 point per night. Hotels in this particular chain run around 30,000 points per night on average from what I was looking for. So yes, 5,000 is a steal!
From completing our sign on bonus with the Chase IHG credit card (hospital bills put to good use)we received 60,000 points followed by an additional 20,000 just for asking nicely for them.
(Reps from Chase and IHG told me 30 days- 8 weeks for my points to post....mine posted in less than a week. Don't get your hopes up.)

Thanks to the amazing timing, the PointBreaks list was still fresh off the press.
Fancy resort in Egypt? 5,000 points a night.
Sadly Egypt isn't exactly on my bucket travel list.
Anyways,moving on.
For a mere 15,000 points we booked ourselves a nice weekend in Knoxville.
Did I mention the automatic Platinum Elite status with IHG Rewards club?
* Insert emoji with hearts for eyes *
High probability of an upgrade to a suite? YES PLEASE.
Priority check-in and extended check-out? YES AND YES.

We have friends coming on this trip with us,they're waiting for their points to post. Worst case scenario, rooms are full. But its okay, our room has two queen size beds and with the suite upgrade, it will either have a king bed and a sofa bed or two queen beds and a sofa bed. More than enough room for 4 people for a weekend in my opinion.
I should know, we shared similar suites with my parents in Holiday Inn's around Alaska.

On a a kind of related note, the Best Western in Seward Alaska was one of my favorite places. Balcony rooms in a Best Western?! I did not expect that.
A great view for not being right ON the water.

Take me back to Alaska....
